Red Shoe Walk 2023

About this Event

On Saturday, September 23, My Friend's House will provide the shoes and the street with space to show your best Red Shoe Walk as they raise valuable funds for their operations at My Friend's House.

Step out with a pair of red heels that symbolize your commitment to end violence against women.

If September 23 doesn't work for you, or you want to "do your own thing" that is totally fine too.  Teams over the past few years have pub crawled, golfed, had pool parties and tea parties - whatever you want to do in your red shoes is fine!

You can join as an individual or start a team. The goal is 200 participants raising $130,000 to support the demand for My Friend's House in Southern Georgian Bay.

Your participation is a way for you or team to make a statement that violence against women is not acceptable. It will only be solved by everyone working together. Your community contribution will have an incredible impact.

Involve your friends, colleagues, and family members and walk in your heels September 23, 2023 to add your voice to this important cause.

You will be able to show support through social media tagging @MyFriendsHouseCollingwood and using the hashtag #RedShoeWalk.

My Friend’s House is a non-profit agency offering support for abused women and children living in the Georgian Triangle. Since opening in 1991, My Friend’s House has helped thousands of women get the safety and support they need to rebuild their lives.

They serve about 600 women and their children each year – 200 through our Shelter Program and the balance through our Outreach, Transition and Children’s Programs.

Their free, confidential services are available to all women and their children across the Georgian Triangle – from Wasaga Beach and Collingwood to Creemore and Meaford and all parts in between.
