I’m Stef, founder of Famously Collingwood.
I'm so glad you're here! Now that you are, I'd like to tell you a little about how Famously Collingwood came to be.
My family and I moved to South Georgian Bay in September 2021, and we were ready for a new adventure. With a young daughter and a baby in tow, adapting to both a fresh community and new-again parenthood came with its share of challenges, and I quickly found myself searching for ways to connect with our surroundings.
Like many who are new to an area, I started hunting for local gems and experiences to help our family to feel at home. However, I wasn't finding a single place that captured all the incredible things South Georgian Bay has to offer.
After one too many deep dives down social media rabbit holes, my husband and I decided to create our own solution.
With that, Famously Collingwood was born: a digital resource designed to make discovering this beautiful community easy and fun. Along with helping others build community & discover the local gems I was once searching for, Famously Collingwood provides a platform where local businesses can showcase their products and services on a website that’s capturing plenty of attention.
What started as a personal quest has grown into something truly meaningful, bringing locals and visitors together to share in the amazing experiences of this wonderful area. Alongside our dedicated team, we’re building more than a directory—we’re creating a bridge to new memories and community connections.
The journey so far has been beyond rewarding, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
