About this Event

Step into a time machine and get transported back to the electrifying energy of the 1970s as Juno Award-winning producer Lance Anderson presents MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN—a sensational tribute to the legendary music of Joe Cocker and Leon Russell.

Prepare yourself for a mind-blowing experience as a lineup of Canadian Blues All-Stars takes the stage, featuring two powerhouse lead singers, three soulful background vocalists, and a nine-piece band that will make you feel like you're right in the heart of the iconic Fillmore East in NYC. This band doesn’t just play music—they create a rhythm so intense, it’s like a freight train barreling down the tracks, sweeping you along for the ride.

Celebrate the legendary tour that almost never happened—when Joe Cocker’s band was denied entry to the U.S., he called on Leon Russell, one of L.A.’s most connected musicians and a member of the famous 'Wrecking Crew,' to assemble a dream team of musical talents. The result? A historic tour, album, and movie that have become a cornerstone of rock history.

But that’s not all—brace yourself for the second half of the show, where you’ll witness the original sound of Canada’s very own MATCHEDASH PARISH. Founded by Matt Weidinger and Lance Anderson, this 12-piece ensemble of the country’s top blues and roots musicians will deliver a powerhouse performance of soul, gospel, and roots music that’s sure to bring the house down. Expect to be blown away by original songs and masterful arrangements of modern classics.

MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN is set to be a night of pure musical magic, featuring Canadian blues all-stars handpicked by Lance Anderson, including vocal sensations Matt Weidinger and Chuck Jackson (The Downchild Blues Band), gospel powerhouses Quisha Wint, Selena Evangeline, and Cheryl Lescom, drumming legends Shamakah Ali (The Barkays, Al Green) and Charlie Coolie (Manteca), percussionist Art Avalos (Manteca), horns by David Dunlop (Boss Brass) and Simon Wallis (Lighthouse), Matt Weidinger on Hammond organ, Lance Anderson on piano, Terry Blersh on guitar, and Collin Barrett on bass.

This is not just a concert—it’s a celebration of music that will leave you breathless. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary evening
