About this Event

Don't miss your chance to experience Canada's classic band still rocking live on tour!

Lighthouse exploded onto the music scene in 1969 with a sound so powerful it shattered expectations and rewrote the rules. From 1970 to 1973, they dominated the industry, winning four Juno Awards, four gold albums, and making history with Canada’s first-ever platinum album for Lighthouse Live! Iconic hits like "One Fine Morning," "Sunny Days," "Hats Off to the Stranger," "1849," and "Pretty Lady" soared to the top of Canadian and international charts, cementing their status as musical legends.

Now, they’re back and still lighting up stages! After reuniting in 1992, Lighthouse continues to electrify audiences with their performances. Led by original founders Paul Hoffert and Ralph Cole, along with fellow original members Russ Little and Steve Kennedy, the band also features a powerhouse lineup of Chris Howells, Simon Wallis, Doug Moore, Don Paulton, Jamie Prokop, and dynamic frontman Dan Clancy. Lighthouse’s legacy lives on—don’t miss out!

Meaford Hall

In 1909, the town of Meaford eagerly gathered at the new Town Hall and Opera House on Nelson and Sykes Streets. The construction of this grand building, designed by local architect James Ellis, marked a significant moment for the community. As the cornerstone was laid in 1908, Mayor J.W. Horsley proudly declared that Meaford Hall would be a symbol of progress and prosperity for generations to come.

Over the years, Meaford Hall served multiple purposes, including housing the council chambers, town offices, courtroom, library, and community meeting spaces. However, it was the second-floor Opera House that truly captured the town's heart. The Opera House became a cultural hub, hosting plays, graduations, concerts, and famous speakers.

The building endured some neglect but was ultimately saved through a restoration project in the early 2000s, funded by grants and community efforts.

Today, Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre stands as an icon of downtown Meaford, a testament to the town's history and commitment to arts and culture.
