About this Event

Get ready for the return of the 12th annual Georgian Triangle Humane Society Walk for Pets event at Harbourview Park in Collingwood!

This year, there's a new running option! Participants can now register for a timed 5K fun run or a leisurely 2.5K walk. There's something for everyone in the family—including your furry friends, provided they're comfortable around other pets, people, and on a leash.

Join in for a day filled with fun, team building, networking opportunities, and a chance to demonstrate support for animal welfare and the human-animal bond. By participating in Walk for Pets, you'll be contributing to the vital programs and services of the GTHS that positively impact pets and people in South Georgian Bay, including:

The GTHS Hospital, a crucial low-cost spay/neuter facility that performs 2,500 surgeries annually.

GTHS Outreach Programs and Services, which assist in keeping 3,000 pets together with their families during emergencies and crises, reducing the strain on the shelter system.

GTHS Humane Education Programs, which have reached over 2,000 youth through After School and online programming.

Pricing Details

Registration is $40 for an individual, or $75 for a family.

about the organizer

Georgian Triangle Humane Society

We are a non-profit charity that operates an Animal Centre serving the south Georgian Bay region. Founded in 1999, we provide shelter to more than 1,500 homeless animals each year and adopt them to caring families. At the same time, we help to keep more than 3,000 pets out of the shelter system through our numerous programs and services designed to keep pets with their families during emergencies and crisis.

We also know that pets help people. This is why we offer a variety of engaging After School programs, which has provided a safe place for more than 2,000 youth to learn more about the human-animal bond and improve their compassion and empathy through positive social interactions, time spent with like-minded people and engaging in cuddle time with cats and dogs.

Our life-long purpose is to learn, understand, educate, and evolve with our community. We do so to empower and inspire positive change.
